EU stainless steel producers warn against melt-and-pour plan
The European Stainless Steel Importers Association (EURANIMI) has warned that the European Commission’s plan to introduce a melt-and-pour origin criterion in the new steel tariff regime would cause severe disruptions in the EU stainless steel market. The association stressed that such a criterion is neither verifiable nor compatible with the specific production structure of stainless steel.
