Jan-Jul 2025: World Crude Steel Production Dropped by 1.9%yoy; EU27 Production Dropped by -3.8% and Asia by -1.8%; China Down by 3.1%; Production of the EU Dropped by 7% in July; Germany Has the Sharpest Production Drop in July and Jan-Jul 2025
According to the figures released by World Steel Association,
?? World crude #steel production dropped by 1.3%yoy to 150.1 mmt in July, in the fist 7 months production was 1.9% to 1 billion 87 million tons.
?? In July, EU produciton dropped by 7 % to 10.2 mmt.
Production of China dropped by 4% in July and 3.1% in Jan-Jul 2025.
?? India continued its stable and strong growth trend. Country's production in July increased by 14% in July and 9.8% in the first 7 months of 2025.
?? In July and Jan-Jul period, Germany has seen the largest production drop down by 13.7% in July and 12.1% in Jan-Jul.
?? United States managed to increase its production in July with the support of increased Section 232 limitations, by 4.8% to 7.1 mmt.
?? In July only India, US, Türkiye and Iran managed to increase their production.
