### Anti-dumping investigation- Türkiye from Canada

Anti-dumping investigation against imports of welded carbon steel pipes originating in Türkiye from Canada.According to a statement by the Turkish Ministry of Trade, Directorate General of Imports, the anti-dumping review investigation opened by Canada against imports of “Welded Carbon Steel Pipe” originating in Türkiye has been completed.

The CBSA issued its decision on May 24, 2024, which was issued on May 9, 2024, and stated that, in accordance with the provisions of “Special Import Measures Act (SIMA) 76.03(7)(a)”, there is a possibility of the continuation or resumption of dumping on the products under investigation if the existing measures expire. In addition, under the provisions of “SIMA 96.1”, persons directly affected by this decision have the right to appeal to the Canadian Federal Court of Appeal. Persons directly affected by the decision are defined as Canadian manufacturers, exporters and importers of the products under investigation.

Following the CBSA's decision, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT) continues to investigate whether the expiry of the existing measures would cause “injury” or “threatened injury” to domestic producers. Until the CITT announces its decision in this regard, the existing anti-dumping measures will remain in place.
